Chocolate/caramel colored sexy ladies.
I'm not a guy, but they all differ in their taste for women.
Tanned gorgeous babes...shaved
Tanned women.
Well, it all depends on the individual girl, but I usually find myself more attracted tanned or caramel skinned cuties. Second would be the light-skinned blondes and brunettes. I wish I was attracted to redheads because they're so naughty in bed, but I'm really not. I like chocolate beauties who are short and skinny which is kinda rare.

And Filipino women. I looooooooooove Filipino women!

  • Why, in Australia, is there a beauty fixation with blonde hair and blue eyes / tan skin?

I'm a 21 yo Caucasian female from Australia. I have Caucasian light skin, brown eyes, medium brown hair (shoulder length, thick and wavy). Anyways I think I look respectable. I don't dress very fancy I mainly stick to classics like jeans, pearl earrings, some gold rings and jewelery, nice tops. However I've noticed a dominant trend with many girls in Australia and that is to go blonde and get a tan and wear blue contacts. Each to their own style but sometimes I think its nice to just stick with natural features instead of faking. I was hoping someone could offer reasons as to why the whole blonde hair look is so BIG? I know its not true that no one likes a brunette but sometimes I do feel a little plain, not to the point where I'd like to change myself, but I do get a little down sometimes...Why, in Australia, is there a beauty fixation with blonde hair and blue eyes / tan skin?
Its called the Paris Hilton syndrome, you stay as you are sweetie, they are just fake anyway so why let it worry you, some girls like looking like bimbos. Why, in Australia, is there a beauty fixation with blonde hair and blue eyes / tan skin?
Hi there, I think the beauty fixation you are referring to is present in most countries around the world... I am a New Zealander and its here too. .I don't know that you could pin point specifically as to why girls dye their hair blonde and get blue contacts...media has alot to do with it including the promotion of blonde haired blue eyed girls with big busts and fake tans...its all over TV, magazines, movies - etc...theres a huge pressure to look like what is seen on TV and in magazines for alot of young girls. I think you have to be a strong person who knows yourself inside out to resist conforming to what media 'present as beautiful'. However, I think that people like Halle Berry, Salma Hyak, Jessica Alba etc...are beautiful and none of them have fake anything..I guess it all depends on the individual and what their personal views are on what beauty is...theres no such thing as plain..everyone has something beautiful about them...Jennifer Anniston and Kate Moss consider themselves plain looking...again it depends on your personal perspective. No need to ever feel down about blonde haired blued eyed girls...be happy with what you have...too many girls look at other girls and compare themselves...know what is beautiful about you and play up those qualities...
    who cares? just be you.
I'm from America and we have the same fascination here. It really bugs me because I'm full Indian -- oddly light skinned enough to pass as persian or a mix of spanish and italian-- but I have to keep telling myself that I'm beautiful, despite the fact that blue-eyed blondes get all the attention. Then again, the world is changing. Wasn't Ashwirya Rye voted as the most beatiful woman in the world? And have you seen the new James bond movie? The seductive woman that tags along is dark skinned and has brown hair. She's beautiful. And she's also NOT blonde. I think everyone was a lot worse with the blonde fascination twenty years ago. As we progress into later centuries, I'm sure blondes will become something of the past. Also, isn't exotic always better?
wearing contact lenses too? Thats just dumb.

I think it's in fashion everywhere hun, even here in England only they tend to like the fake orange tan, blue eyes, white hair almost and big boobs, what matters is who you are.

These 'trends' will die out and everybody will envy you and respect you for being true to yourself.

Don't change for anybody, sure you can maybe up your wardrobe at times and have fun but don't dwell on it. Just think, guys might want to f**k those girls but they will want to marry a sweet natured gorgeous beautie like you!
The blonde fascination is world wide.

    Same thing here in Canada.

Thing is most ';blondes'; aren't really blonde.

    I prefer natural.
    i dunno
Everyone wants to look like Nicole Kidman? The movie Australia is big around here in the USA. Now imagine the attention it, and the stars, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman are getting.

Plastic or natural? Fake tan/nails/boobs/eyelashes/hair extensions etc or natural beauty? girls and guys!?

Does the plastic look attract or not. I get the image of 'fake personality' also and these girls aren't genuine........Plastic or natural? Fake tan/nails/boobs/eyelashes/hair extensions etc or natural beauty? girls and guys!?
I say natural beauty all the way. It's not even really about looks, but more about the philosophy that goes with it that's attractive, the concept that they don't need to buy into society's ideas...

I mean, a bit of subtle make-up, nail polish, etc is just fine, but some folks become dependent on it, and that's no good.Plastic or natural? Fake tan/nails/boobs/eyelashes/hair extensions etc or natural beauty? girls and guys!?
well obviously natural is better. I mean i can't notice the difference between real hair or hair extensions, real boobs or fake boobs, real eyelashes or fake ones and real tan or fake tan. So i guess it won't really make a difference. But if i knew, i would prefer natural.
Do what works for you...what matters is that you like what you see in the mirror and feel confident about who you are. If that takes a little ';store bought'; help, so be it. Who cares? Doesn't change your basic personality...

I use a tanning bed. So what? I also tan in the sun...the difference is one way I pay for skin cancer, the other way I get it for free.

I'd get boob implants in a heartbeat if I had the money (but I need a lift and fill). Who cares if others like them or not? If they don't, then they shouldn't have it done. I'd like to have slightly larger breasts that face forward (not at my toes) and I see no reason not have those if it's possible.

Fake eyelashes are kinda 1960s, but if that's what a gal likes, then it harms no one. Hair extensions are harmless also...if you can't grow long hair on your own (I can't...not much past my shoulders) but want long hair, why not buy some and wear it whenever you want? How amazing and wonderful that we have all these options! 鈽?br>

What's really kewl is if we aren't content with our appearance, we can make oh so many changes (with enough money). It's really great to have options, even if we don't take advantage of them.

Bottom line is that what's inside is so much more important than the wrapping...why not have the kind of wrapping you desire?
When girls get plastic surgery sometimes the plastic shows.. So I'd say natural. And I don't think anything that's fake really rocks.. If anything fake nails, and hair extensions. But natural beauty is the most best one. But it doesn't matter whats on the outside, just the inside..

    -Z
    Both.

I do the natural thing often cause I don't need a lot of makeup. But then again, its fun to tan, get your nails done, where a lot of make up, put in hair extensions...not all the time though.

And Im against plastic surgery though. God made our bodies the way they are for a reason.

    :)
Well people usually get plastic surgery because they are confident that they look good, but it doesnt change how they are. But I think confident girls are more sexy ;D
i would think that men like natural. if you take out a weave fake lashes etc..and he doesn't recognize you there is a problem! fake boobs i get.
i think fake anything is tacky.. the prospect of it just turns me off immediately.
Real is the way to go.!

In Australia, why is the standard of beauty a tan and not pale?

I am Ausralian, 21 years old, and female. I have light skin and I avoid the sun because I don't want to get sun cancer - which is HUGE here. I cover up when I'm in the sun and sunscreen hats scarves etc. As a result, I am quite pale. I also have dark features such as naturally dark brown/black hair, dark brown eyes, and Caucasian features. All I ever here is that tan girls with blonde hair are the standard of beauty. Does anyone else agree that pale girls are disregarded in Australia? Any pale girls out there agree? What do you think? Thanks. (People from other countries answer too if you have a similar situation in your country). In Australia, why is the standard of beauty a tan and not pale?
    I agree. It's a ridiculous notion that charred skin is considered ';beauty.';

You may have noticed a recent cancer council campaign with ';There's nothing healthy about a tan'; on the sides of buses. I think that's one of the most effective and clear campaigns in recent years, and I still find it phenomenal that many ppl STILL don't ';get it';.

On an aesthetic level, I prefer the look of pale skin. I'm usually attracted to women with a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern complexion, but if the person is Anglo and more on the paler side, I find them far more attractive than tanned women. Maybe because I find it difficult to understand why someone would willingly char-grill their largest physiological organ, for supposed beauty.

The tides will change though. When more and more people get diagnosed with melanoma, or even BCCs, they'll hopefully teach their kids that unprotected exposure to the sun is ridiculous and nonsensical. In Australia, why is the standard of beauty a tan and not pale?
Pale white skin looks unhealthy and sickly. Someone with a tan or olive complexion simply looks healthier. That's the attraction.
I think you hear that because you are pale skinned and would hear it the other way if you were tan !

I'm from Canada and we are ';bi-lingual'; which means we are tan in the summer and pale in the winter ! LOL*

On a serious note though...yes...skin cancer is a problem world wide what with the ozone layer being less and less each year !

So...stick to your guns kiddo and be healthy and later on in years (like about 5 to 10 years ) you won't have that droopy leathery look and be at that age where the men (everywhere) say...Fair Dinkum...look at her skin...she's a beaut !

Love you peeps from Aussie....your'e a lot like us...';Yeah to the Commonwealth'; ! *S*

i dont understand why this happens when i stay at home my skin bcomes fair and soon after a single day visit 2 my college i bcome dark i apply yogrt+orange peel powder but the condition is same .my parents r searching 4 boy since i m 22 i dont want to b rejected just bcoz of this prblem . used sun blocks also but no effect so stopped .which one to chose plz suggest?Hi i hav beauty prblm my skin is combination fair bt when i go in2 sun 4 5min also i get severe tan plz hlp ?
drink plenty of water, and never go outside without applying sun block or sun tan lotion...also try to wear cotton clothes that can cover your body as much as possible...so invest on some cool caps or hats, and use an umbrella...if you need to go to the beach, make sure you use lotion liberally...

Don't worry about the guy thing, first look after yourself. You sound like a decent person so it shoudln't be a problem, but make sure you use lotions and stuff because I UV radiation causes cancer, and maybe your melanin content is less...actually darker people have more melanin so are better protected, while fair people are ideal candidates for this...

as they say beauty is skin deep...

and skin colour - is just skin pigmentation...

so be confident, improve your own unique skills and be a good personHi i hav beauty prblm my skin is combination fair bt when i go in2 sun 4 5min also i get severe tan plz hlp ?

  • Which girl would guys prefer, the tan, blonde, muscular beach babe, or the pale, dark haired curvy beauty?

i'm just curious, cause i always thought blonde, but i could be wrong...give me your thoughts!Which girl would guys prefer, the tan, blonde, muscular beach babe, or the pale, dark haired curvy beauty?
Tanned, dark haired, curvy beauties...which is mostly brazilian girls. Mhmmm gorgeous. I like red heads with freckles for some reason to...like Lindsey Lohan, when she was like 18 not now she looks kinda tired. lolWhich girl would guys prefer, the tan, blonde, muscular beach babe, or the pale, dark haired curvy beauty?
well im not a guy but i can certainly say the dark haired pale curvy girl sounds far more attractive. i fit that description so im biased. but the beach babe look is soooo overdone. pale and dark hair is way more mysterious and alluring. blonde girls think they have all the guys just because of their hair colour, but a pretty dark haired girl is 100 X better because people don't expect dark haired pale girls to be pretty. so just remember that brunette power %26amp;%26amp; pride!
haha a burnett would say that ...regards to the Matilda girl's comment....give me a break seriously obviously you'd say that you are being a hypocrite saying well blondes think they are cute but then u just go to say dark haired girls are prettier....it is different from person to person hair color has nothing to do with beauty for real its in the personality and face hair adds but some people look good with blonde others with dark....oh yeah and blondes can have natural curves too :) i got some myself thank u very much
    WELL I LIKE BOTH

Can the beauty expert or anyone suggest a makeup style for asian gal w/ brown eye, dark straight hair&tan skin?

what eye color that cant go wrong...etc...thanksCan the beauty expert or anyone suggest a makeup style for asian gal w/ brown eye, dark straight hair%26amp;tan skin?
I find blue or green eyeshadow really helps to make the brown in my eyes stand out. But you have to be careful with it, since it can make you look like a throwback from the disco era.

Shiny silvers also work. Can the beauty expert or anyone suggest a makeup style for asian gal w/ brown eye, dark straight hair%26amp;tan skin?
well, i'd go with purples to bring out your eye color, or an orange to go with your skin tone, all in all, go with bright colors, like red, orange, purple, pink, you'll never go wrong! lol...or you can go with smokey black for a night out!
    this looks good on anyone!!
no... fine ok i'll help you try this,

Why is having a tan it's concidered a ';fad'; or ';beauty';???

what's so cool about having oompa loopa skin(aka TAN)??Why is having a tan it's concidered a ';fad'; or ';beauty';???
Back in the middle ages most people were skinny and tan from working the fields all day, so rich people did the hard thing and became fat and pasty, and everyone else wanted to be like the rich people. Now it's easy to be fat and pasty thanks to an overabundance of food and air conditioning and a far more sedentary lifestyle, so now the rich people want to look tan and skinny and everybody else follows suit. Why is having a tan it's concidered a ';fad'; or ';beauty';???
Actually I think it's because having a tan gives you that ';healthy sun-kissed glow'; - that's why people do it, even though you can get cancer. Almost every girl I know who tans says she does it because it clears up/evens out your skin tone. So that's probably another reason. Report Abuse

A subtle tan hides a multitude of sins.
    lol, i have no idea.
nothing. in the bible times it was a form of sun worship.

Alieen Tan- Poor & Wrong Spokesperson for Beauty Products?

We all know by now how BAD Alieen Tan's acting skills are.But to put her as a spokesperson for beauty products really spells disaster! When all her peers are making waves ,she did otherwise.few yrs back, knowing that she no longer in demand at channel 8, she appeared at channel 5's Growing Up.Her English was horrible. If Mediacorp should showcase newcomers or better actresses instead of using ';poor standard actress'; like Alieen Tan cos it is a fact she is no longer in demand %26amp; has no appeal to audience anymore.Alieen Tan- Poor %26amp; Wrong Spokesperson for Beauty Products?

Pretty much all you do is clean the booths, the rest is sitting at the comp and turning them on/off all the time. And you get free tanning.

Butttt you also get discounts to a lot of things at Sallys. So if you want more hair supplies, and bath related objects, you might like it at Sallys. Can you see yourself in a retail store though?
Tan Co... I'd work at a tanning place part time if I could spare the time from my job now!

Free tans for real and usually pretty cool people, at least in the ones here in Europe they are...

    Good luck!!!

No, natural beauty is when you don't have to use ANY makeup or tanner or anything like that.
with out the self tanner yea try using powered bronzer instead.
Yeah if the eyeshadow is like a cream/brown/beige.

Also if the lipgloss is clear.

    Hi,

    I am also from Australia.

Dark hair Dark eyes and pale skin.

I agree with you I think being tan has really become the ';in'; thing here.

I often feel a bit self concious becasue i'm not blonde and tanned lol

But then again I feel sorry for the taned girls who are gonna be covred in wrinkles from the sun when they are 35 or a big scar were they got a skin cancer cut out.

But I feel like we are found less ';hot'; becasue we wern't born with darker skin

But yeah to sum it up I 100% agree with eveything you've said.

In Australia, why is the standard of beauty a tan and not pale?
i am australian and alot of people, including guys have told me that the fake orange tan turns them off! I think its the young immature guys who like (pornstars etc..) who like that really orange skin. %26amp; the girls who follow the media (pussycat dolls, xtina) who like the fried chicken look aswell..otherwise its nice to be a little sun kissed but not to point where it looks obviously fake.
I live in australia. And I think pale girls are real pretty. But yeah I guess people here do think tan is pretty. But people with natural tan skin tend to dislike it. :)
Im from Australia, and im kinda pale with dark brown hair.... And i dont feel that at ALL!

I think Aussies are very open minded and there are all types of beauty here. Its a beautiful country.

its the same way in the US
Yes unfortunately, despite the dangers of getting skin cancer from sun exposure, people continue to get sun tans in Australia, as it is still considered the accepted standard of beauty.

I blame a large part of this on the media, who continue to (recklessly) portray the desirable look as tanned (and blonde), through various mediums including magazines, advertisements etc etc.

Whether people agree/realise they are being brainwashed by the media or not - it HAPPENS.

Just look at other countries like France, where the desirable look is pale and dark-haired (and more beautiful in my opinion, as well as more SAFE).

But the buck stops with the individual - you can CHOOSE to go and bake yourself to a crisp and end up dying of skin cancer, or CHOOSE to go against the current fashion (and save your life in the process).

I know a lot of girls get fake tans, but this is still portraying and perpetuating the desirable look as being tanned.

So yes I do agree with you totally.
....I've never heard of tan not being the ';standard,'; but then again I am American, so go figure.

I think maybe you are too hidden for anyone to see you, scarves and hats and sunscreen, is a lot. Why not just invest in a really good UVA/UVB sunscreen, Avidea, Aveeno, Olay, etc. Or search online.

They also make clothes, normal looking ones, that protect against UVB rays, maybe you could get those.

A little sun gives you a healthy, and therefore attractive glow. Maybe this is why you feel that way.

They also make makeup with SPF protection now too. There are lots of ways to protect yourself without hiding! Let everyone see you, and maybe you too will get as many compliments as the tan girls! (Also, a little sun is good for you, it releases Vitamins in your body!)
yeh the whole ';beach babe'; has become a real image for australia (lara bingle haha) but completely agree with the whole skin cancer thing. in saying that, think of like outback australia, and people who work on the land. they get dark skin from working outside all day. i don't think the pale skin thing is overlooked, but it also doesn't completely fit in anyway as an australian image either.

and trust me i have nothing against whiteys. i'm dark haired and pale as a ghost. i'm fine with it.

EDIT also i dont think that cadalila girl knows much about the aussie sun. 'a little sun gives you a healthy attractive glow?' 'clothes that protect against the uvb rays' puh-lease!

  • Do you prefer Mediterranean beauty on a man ( dark hair , brown eyes , tanned) or blond -blue eyes?

I definitely prefer the Mediterranean look for men. Italians and Greeks are so fricken hot!Do you prefer Mediterranean beauty on a man ( dark hair , brown eyes , tanned) or blond -blue eyes?
The personality always wins me over before the looks.

Although if I were to see two guys in a picture with the same build but one of them had fair features and the other with typical Mediterranean features, I'd be more attracted to the guy with the dark features.

Perhaps opposites do attract to some extent as I'm a redhead with hazel eyes. That being said, my husband is a blond haired man and I thought from the moment I laid eyes on him that he was gorgeous...heck, I married him!Do you prefer Mediterranean beauty on a man ( dark hair , brown eyes , tanned) or blond -blue eyes?
i dont have a particular type i go for the whole thing, features and personality and to be honest personality over rides features theyre just a bonus.People grow more attractive and the same goes for less attractive the more you get to know them.
    I don't generalize.

Some tall dark men are more handsome than some blonde blue-eyed men, and vice-versa.
    Mediterranean
Sorry I go for personality not looks...
i like both, but i really.... like guys with blue or green eyes with dark hair
Blond blue eyes, but I love redheads.
Dark hair, dark eyes. Skin tone doesn't matter though.
I prefer dark. I actually find blue eyes a turn off...
I prefer dark hair dark eyes.

    Beauty tan?

whats the best way of getting a tan with no sunshine and no streaks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and how much it cost?Beauty tan?
Fortunately today there are some great ways out there to fake a tan without stinking like stale biscuits and looking like a zebra.

You could find out if there's a local salon that does mist-on tans - Magic Tan or Jean-Paul Mist-on tan are both pretty good. The first time you go in can be a little daunting as you're sprayed from head to toe with tan but the wonderful thing is that it takes about 10-20 seconds and is dry as quickly ready for you to dress and be on your way. Prices tend to range from 拢15-25 per session and the effect can last for up to one week providing you have thoroughly exfoliated first and moisturise with a plain, gentle moisturiser daily afterwards. Without advocating poor personal hygiene, the more you bathe, the quicker the tan comes off!

Please don't go with the advice to use a sunbed - I can tell you from experience it is not worth it. I used to have a real babyface but within 6 months of using tanning beds I had some really irritating lines around my eyes and a dodgy mole that had to be surgically removed.

If you want to fake tan at home for a specific night out or event the use the spray on tans from Nivea (if you have a lighter skin tone and want a natural colouring) or Ambre Solaire or Garnier - priced about 拢8.99 although supermarkets do offers and boots often does 2 for 1. You can literally spray them on and they come out over a period of hours and come out really evenly with just a little caution. The ambre solaire is my personal favourite as it sprays at any angle and you can decide how dark by simply spraying more or less. http://www.boots.com/shop/product_detail鈥?/a>

To build up a natural gradual tan I seriously recommend Ambre Solaire Summer Skin body moisturiser http://www.boots.com/shop/product_detail鈥?/a> It's 拢3.99 and will last a few weeks or so depending on how much you use. It smells gorgeous, goes on and is absorbed easily without any greasy residue, and from the first use gives you a lovely natural glow. This could also be a great way to get used to self-tanning if you're worried about the results. Because you build the tan up gradually with daily use, any mishaps are easily gone over the next day! If you go for this option. Make sure you exfoliate once a week fully and start again so you don't get any build-up.

In terms of managing and getting the most out of your tan here's my must-dos and do nots:

    MUST:

    - Always exfoliate thoroughly before self-tanning

    - Moisturise with a light, unscented body moisturiser all over before tanning

    - Allow the moisturiser to be absorbed by the skin and dry before self-tanning

    - Allow at least 12 hours after self-tanning before bathing, showering, or getting wet

    - Moisturise daily after tanning with a light, unscented body moisturiser to prolong the tan

    - Before tanning use extra moisturiser on knees, toes, heels, feet, elbows, palms, and fingers, nails and cuticles

    - Wash your hands thoroughly after fake-tanning but being careful not to splash any other part of your body

    DO NOT:

    - Rub fake-tan into your hands or palms or feet

    - Go swimming if you need your tan at it's best - the chlorine acts as an exfoliant

    - Put make-up on straight after fake-tanning - give your tan time to develop before putting any products on your skin

    - Wear tight or abrasive clothes after getting a salon tan - wear lose clothing for the journey home and avoid getting sweaty - give the tan time to develop

    - Do not use too much tanning lotion in a bid to get a darker tan. For a darker tan wait until the next day and redo - otherwise it could spell disaster

I hope I haven't put you off self-tanning with my long answer - just making sure you get it right first time so you don't have to endure any of my past mistakes lol!

Dare to change your make-up - you can wear less foundation and go for bolder looks and colours with a tan. Or you can go more natural and still look gorgeous - choice is yours.

    Good luck!Beauty tan?
You are best off getting it done at a salon the spray on.Cost around 拢30 depends which area you live.
Don't use a sunbed; use Nivea suntanning lotion which does work. You need to use it regularly to build up a really gorgeous colour. You don't need the sun for this.
    go to tenerife 拢300
you can get a spray on tan that works well I think estee lauder still makes one.. it is about 28.00 but about 15.00 on ebay
get Jhonson's fake tan or dove fake tan it deosn't cost much about 拢5 tops and it works really well!x!
you can go to a tanning bed. i do.
I think Jean E's on to something.

i like both if only its the right person.

i like pale ppl but with dark hair and dark lashes with blue or green eyes, they have to have the high cheeck bones and the face structor too(:

and for tan i like blonde or soft brown hair.

idk i think paleness is natural beauty(:Does everyone look better tan or is there a certain beauty to paleness? Girls and guys answer :]?
some people look better tan, others pale

im one of those people that have to be tan or else i look weird...its cause im naturally kinda dark (thanks daddy :D) so parts of me (my arms, chest, back, and lower legs) wont really get pale, but like my face will. so it looks weird if i dont stay tan

guess im goign to have to invest in a good spray tan once i move to alaska! lol
    .

    I like the look to be ';seasonally correct.';

    No dark tans in winter.

Girls can be ';porcelain complexioned'; any time of year.

Guys should NEVER look like Vampires. ...YUCK!!!

    .
I think everyone is different and it looks different on every one. Quite frankly, though, I NEED a tan. So, it depends.

    :)
I've been both. I am hecka light skinned with dark hair..my nickname is snow white (by my friends). I've also been tanned. People seem to really like the contrast on me though....so I think it depends on the individual....some people look better tan and some look better not tanned.
I don't find many things as absolute beautiful constants. Each girl is unique and will look good with certain traits. Judge each person by their own merit, not by how they compare to others.
    Every skin tone is beautiful.
    vampires are sexy

they're not exactly known for tanning.
I like tan! But natural!! That orange ish is nasty! Guys know when ur tan is fake girls!!!
it depends on the person, personally i think dark hair goes good with pale, tan with blonde
    It depends
When it comes to white people, I love it when they look so pale, and have black hair. Think of vampires!
My boyfriend is pasty as f*ck. It's so sexy.

What beauty product can I use to make my skin look tan?

And what store, where? What beauty product can I use to make my skin look tan?
try jergens natural glow, banana boat sundial %26amp; l`oreal sublime glow...u can buy them at cvs, walmart, target, etc...What beauty product can I use to make my skin look tan?
Loreal works great, they have a formula both for the body and face. Any drugstore, Target or Walmart will have it.
Jergens Glow Moisturizing Lotion. It's a great moisturizer w/ just a hint of color to it. They make it in light, medium, and dark according to your natural skin color. I use it and love it!!!!
Jergens natural glow works amazingly well. It leaves no streaks and wont make you look orange. Dove energy glow works just as great.
My favorite is Nitrogen face moisturizer with tine and an SPF of 15 or 30. Most drug stores carry it as well as Walmart. It covers well and protects from the sun. Not sweat proof though.
Avon has a line of products called ';Mark'; and they sell a powder for bronzer that give me a really nice tan glow. I would definitely reccomend it.
olive oil can be used.it is available in most of the provision stores

Does society make people feel like only blonde, tanned women are the most sought after type of beauty?

And does it mean that women were all generally expected to look like that?Does society make people feel like only blonde, tanned women are the most sought after type of beauty?
Yes. But society is in for a shock when it discovers that 99.9% of the world's women are dark haired, some tanned some not.Does society make people feel like only blonde, tanned women are the most sought after type of beauty?
Hmmm. I guess in a certain proportion you may be right. In my particular case the most sought after type of beauty should be women like Salma Hayek or monica Belucci.

    No way blonde!

I guess every country or regions of earth has something nice to offer.

    I guess it depends where you're living at and what society in that place of the earth calls or classifies as ';beauty';

I'll settle for a Hayek or Belucci prototype!
Yes and no. I had it in my head for awile that's what you had to look like to be attractive. Because it seems like 99% of the ';beautiful people'; are blonde, etc.

But I cam to my senses that I don't look good with blonde hair and I just don't like it. I think it's a stereotype, but I've found that it's not really true by seeing other beautiful women with dark hair, or pale skin. Maybe they don't get noticed the second they walk in the room but they still look just as good
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Every man has different ideas of what is most appealing to them. Personally, I like dark and red hair and fair(not deathly pale) skin the best.

Be yourself and don't change your hair color. It was designed to match your skin tone. Also tanning/burning causes skin cancer. A light tan from the sun promotes healthly skin. Avoid tanning booths like the plaugue.
Uh, nope. True there are many beautiful women who fit that description but this by no means implies that they are the 'most sought after'.

Why do kids these days treat school as a beauty contest..!! BAN fake tan, dyed hair and makeup in schools?

And ban school skirts above the knee too...what kinda parents do these girls have and who are their role models when they turn up for school wearing makeup, fake tan and skirts that only a lady of the night would wear!!Why do kids these days treat school as a beauty contest..!! BAN fake tan, dyed hair and makeup in schools?
    I agree entirely.

If schools banned this and made everyone stick to the uniform rules, there would be no competion for who can look the best. (worst in my opinion.)Why do kids these days treat school as a beauty contest..!! BAN fake tan, dyed hair and makeup in schools?
Its called individuality. It may not be your thing to see girls with fake tans, dyed hair, and make-up... But sometimes it just works. I'm not going to so say its not a contest at school, because when I get ready in the morning I think, does this look terrible? Will people stare at me? I don't like it when people look at me.

Its how some people define beauty. Whoever has the most done to them wins. Bla bla bla. Like what I think is pretty is natural hair and pale, healthy skin.

At my school, you can't wear too short of skirts, they have to be mid-thigh..

Its choice. Whoever wants it, can have it.

(don't be a prick, nobody is making you wear it)
i do agree with you that a lot of girls take those sorts of things too far but i don't think banning them will help anything. if anything, it will make them dress even more extreme outside of school! i had highlighted hair in high school, went tanning occasionally, and wore makeup and was a straight a student and am now a teacher. i agree that a lot of girls take these privileges too far and go very extreme with their dress and makeup, etc. but i think teenagers need to be able to express themselves. unfortunately some girls just take it too far and i think that is an issue for their parents and the students themselves to address!
This is the fault of the high chiefs in the school. When I was attending high school, it was important to wear the standard uniform, not some slutty kind of outfit.. Unfortunately, in this day and age, our knowlegeable friends have no power at all and have to put up with all sorts of insubordination. Their hands are now tied and they have no options in the ';punishment'; stakes. The current kiddies are wise to this fact and continue to push the ';lawmakers'; to their limits!!
ok, skirts below the knees are ugly first off.

to quote Little Miss Sunshine ';Life is a fuc*ing beauty contest. It is, people care about the appearance. It's human nature to care what other people think of us. In high school especially, we are judged on our clothes and appearances. I dye my hair, red, black, brown, because I want to feel good about my appearance, I use a fake tan because I like the tan look and because it's healthier than a real tan, I wear natural looking make up to make people think I am not wearing any and am just naturally this beautiful. I don't wear skirts beneath my knees because 1. no place sell any cute ones 2. i wear jeans and because I'm short and they make me look stubby.
I think you're taking this a little too far. Tans, short skirts, makeup...all of those things are ways of expressing a person's individuality. Do people overdo it sometimes, especially young girls? Sure they do. But why deprive the rest of us? And what's wrong with wearing a skirt above the knee? I look short and ugly when my school skirts go below my knees. They shouldn't be as short as mini skirts, but they don't have to be ridiculously long, either.
Your going too far. People need to understand, that Preteens and Teens need to express themselves. ITs not tht bad to wear a skirt 3 inches above the knee. Chillax, fake tans, not every1 wears tht. and not everyone wears short skirts and shorts. Makeup isnt that bad as long as it is natural. There are FAR WAY more worse things ppl r doing nowadays.
Um no thanks,...what school are you talking about? Nothing in my school is that bad. Not many people wear skirts or shorts Then again I live in minnesota...

Even if they did I wouldn't care one bit, make up isnt that big of a deal! And really if some one wants to have a fake tan that makes them look orange then I'll let them.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I disagree about the died hair, fake tan, and makeup. I think those are rights everyone should have if they choose. Skirts above the knee are fine as long as they aren't too revealing.
Cause your expressing your self. Just beacuse you don't like to do all the stuff it's your problem. Don't bring us down with you. Plus that's to uptight
it's just people expressing themselves it the real world we are always gonna have to deal with it.
cos everyone else does so they have to
    i agree !!
it's where you can meet boys mostly. you're there all day with 'em. why not dress up?

SWEDISH BEAUTY or AUSTRAILIAN GOLD indoor tanning lotion?

I dont like australian Gold at all. So I would go with swedish beauty. How often do you tan? do you have a base tan? whats your skin like naturally? Do like a tingle? bronzer? both?

Right now im using Intoxicating by swedish beauty, and campus cutie from Tan-U. You should also consider Designer Skin, their lotions are great. If you answer those questions, ill be able to help you more.

Also, I recommend buying lotions on ebay, you can get lotions there 70-90% less than a salon, and you can buy lots of sample packettes.

Email me if you want more help, or just answer those questions and ill be glad to help

Black and spellbound are AMAZING! Anyways....then you should go with Bronze beauty or simply divine from swedish beauty. They both have have great bronzers and they last longer. Seriously, dont get australian gold, it sucks @$$ lol

Beauty tips...HELP!!! (hair color and tanning creams.....)?

i want to try a sunless tanning lotion. but theres SO many out there to pick from. i'm VERY pale. (red head with freckles) so i don't want something dramatic, something that will make me orange, or something that won't work. (i've tried one that made me orange, and one that i feel like i wasted my $$ on, it never worked!) what brands do you use, or you know that will work well for me????

ok, hair color, i have a dark strawberry blonde hair color, naturally. like i said, i'm pale and have freckles. i've been going blonde for 7 years. i just dont think its working for me anymore though. i just had a baby, so you can imagine what my skin looks like after the stress and hormones...maybe a light brown color? what do you think?Beauty tips...HELP!!! (hair color and tanning creams.....)?
For tanning, try one of those ';Touch of Sun'; lotions, the colour is gradual and fairly natural-looking.

For hair colour, go with something golden and warm, to complement your natural skin colouring.

You probably have beautiful eyes as well (most fair redheads do), so choose a hair colour that complements them as well. Light auburn, dark honey, something like that.

Remember, if you don't like the colour a good hairdresser can help with recolouring.Beauty tips...HELP!!! (hair color and tanning creams.....)?
my wife said to use that natural glow stuff cuz its gradual not dramatic and wash your palm and in between the fingers good afterward. maybe go for a light auburn hair color with blonde highlights to help with the transition..
I wouldnt use fake tanning lotions they dont last long and come off horribly...if i were u id start going to the tanning bed, then once u got to the color u want, id dye your hair brown

Help! Best self-tanning lotion at Sally's Beauty Supply? I really need answers... ?

I need a really good self tanner that appears fast, isn't blotchy or streaky, and has a really nice color (NO orange.) I was thinking of Sexy U Chocolate Java (I've been tanning but I am only very light tan.) I really wanted to buy it from Sally's Beauty Supply because the prices are so good there, but if there's a really good self tanner that anyone knows of that you could get at a drugstore that would be great too, thanks.Help! Best self-tanning lotion at Sally's Beauty Supply? I really need answers... ?
I was very pleased with Coppertone's Sunless Tanning Gradual Tan, but it doesn't appear fast. It is a day by day self tanner that gradually makes you darker. I have also purchased Savage Bronzer Mousse at Sally's on sale for $5. Unfortunately, Savage Bronzer has been discontinued so it may not be available. I have not used it yet but have read reviews and most people have seem pleased. Spray tans are usually a little harder to apply as color is not instant and it is harder to tell where you have already applied the tanning solution.

When going on the tanning bed in a beauty salon are they meant to give you a lotion to help tan better?

Im going on holidays next week. Ive gone on two 8 minute sessions so far %26amp; today im going for 15 minutes. Im VERY pale (im Irish lol) and just want to get my skin used to the heat before i go to Florida. Are they meant to give you a lotion to help the tanning process or can you buy it? or is there even such a thing?

Ive been on the tanning bed 3 days in a row. Is it ok to go everyday?

Im going on holidays in 9 days and just wanted to do another 2 sessions this week friday %26amp; saturday. So that will end up being 5 days in a row this week. Then next week i want to do it another 5 days in a row monday to friday.

By the way im aware that tanning beds are bad but is it ok to be getting it done everyday? When going on the tanning bed in a beauty salon are they meant to give you a lotion to help tan better?
You probably aren't going to get much of a result and in fact may BURN or get a ';tanning rash'; if you don't tan naturally or use lotion. You can BUY tanning lotions at the salon which is expensive OR if you had planned better ordered some of the same lotions online but, at a fraction of the cost... It's best to go every other day to get your skin used to tanning. Going everyday you may burn and that's not good at all !

Tanning lotions allow your skin to absorb the UVA/UVB tanning lights and keep your skin soft and supple. They are worth the cost- I'm lucky enough to have olive skin that tans easily so a few times in the bed and I'm tan.. Keep your skin exfoliated and moisturized and you will keep your tan longer... You will continue to tan even after you leave the tanning salon...

Good luckWhen going on the tanning bed in a beauty salon are they meant to give you a lotion to help tan better?
You can pick out a lotion and ask for their oinion, but sometimes it might work for them but not for you, as they will a have different skin tone. Try an accelerator. It gives first time tanners a rich color. You might want to go for 15 minutes as you might burn. Go in for about 10 or 11 minutes. Yes, you can go everyday to get a better color. It is safe.
I would have a days break in between tanning sessions.(I burnt my bum last time i done a full week).

They don't supply tanning creams free of charge, you can buy them at most salons though, but in my opinion they don't really work..
You can buy single use packs or a bottle. Some place have samples not a lot. Just ask if they have samples or buy a single or bottle.
You should tan every other day and work your way up to 20 minutes! I would go 12 minutes today instead of 15. And you can BUY bronzing lotion there. It helps a lot. But no they do not give it to you!
tanning is bad! You can get skin cancer which can lead to death. Embrace your paleness!!
they do have lotion but it isnt free u pick out which one u like or is good 4 ur skin and buy it and yes its ok 2 go everyday i do
Your supposed to provide your own.
yes you have to buy it

i want to get a st tropez tan in a salon.

    how do they apply it?

do they make you strip right down for a full body or like keep ur underwear on??

just a curious question as i have never had it done before?

would you reccomend st tropez??How do they do a spray tan in a beauty salon?
Mine was a full body. Pants but no bra. They used a spray gun.

I like St Tropez xHow do they do a spray tan in a beauty salon?
I would recomend a mystic tan with is a temorally spray tan. You go in a room and completly strip down. You put this lotion in the booth on your nails so they dont turn orange. Put all of your hair in a cap but make sure the cap is really close next to the hairline so your forehead isnt half and half. Then press a button on the outside of the booth and it cleans it then you go inside and stand on this line and press a button and close your eyes spread your legs and put your arms up. hold your breath and keep your mouth closed. It goes up and down a few times then turn around and repeat...when its done dab your whole body with a towel so theres no streaks and your done

  • Why does it seem like the standard of beauty is having olive-golden tan brown skin?

I said standard because beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I mean just from media, and what is considered ';hot';.. How did everything evolve into that standard? Why does it seem like the standard of beauty is having olive-golden tan brown skin?
    i notice that too

hey sarah how does it feel to be loved lol

    i'm golden

i notice white people seem to tip over more to the goldens like beyonce, mariah carey and jessica alba

i heard that its a sign for lounging in the sun and being rich reason for the golden toneWhy does it seem like the standard of beauty is having olive-golden tan brown skin?
No I get what you mean

Skin tones like jennifer lopez, penelope cruz and eva longoria are always described as being the most desired because they look 'healthy' and 'golden' and 'sexy'.

Yes white features are still presented as the standard of beauty but not pale white skin - tanned skin is generally offered by the media as being the most beautiful skin tone to have.

It's still light enough to be attainable by white people without saying that dark skin is beautiful.

    No offense intended..

    (:
As time changes so does the defintion of beauty. In medieval times, a fair skin princess was the epitome of beauty while brown skin was seen as something peasants who worked outside the sun would only have. Now that princess is laying out in the sun baking for hours!

I really don't understand it. This is what fuels those tanning salons and now in the summer people go to great lengths to get a tan. Even though we all know the dangers of tanning: prematurage aging, wrinkles, spots, and of course melanoma. Yet, many don't care. Some say it was Coco Chanel who started this trend, she vacationed in an island and got a tan. Then, after that it became fashionable. This was in the early 50s I believe.

It seems the standard of beauty in the media is this: caucasian features, tan skin, blonde hair, and big breasts. A very vulgar look to me personally but people like it.

I have a tan brown skin by nature and while I like my skin color. I do not see what is seen as ';sexy'; about it.
actually the standard of beauty on TV is tanned skin on a blonde haired white woman

natural tanned skinned is not considered standard of beauty on TV, only artificial

same as with anything else on TV

anyway tanned skin is actually pretty light

light brown skin is something like Beyonce or Jessica Alba or Alicia Keys

tanned is more like Jessica Biel(which is more ideal)
because olive skin looks better people don't look sick and pale like the white ones. Yay lucky me i was born with olive golden tan brown skin. Too bad for you that you go tanning you'll get skin cancer and wrinkles at a premature age.
I don't get the olive color thing,

I know of two kinds of olives, jet black, and green. are there more?

because I don't know any green people, and I have only seen two jet black people in my whole life.
I've seen people who would be considered attractive by the media that are darker than that and people that were lighter than that.
It's what the media put into people heads. That light is better than dark. I have to disagree because Gabrielle Union looks so much better than Mariah Carey. I have a long list but I will stop there.
i think its white features that are the standard of beauty not african american features
    Which media do you have!!!??????
Hmmm tan brown skin is very common here, nothing special. i'm bored being tan.
Mmm,who knows....i guess it depends on the generation we're apart of-its weird huh,lol-

Is this true about tanning other beauty tips?

I have very pale skin and dark hair so im very hairy and plae which i really hate. Its almost summer and im crapping myself because i hate my body (im not saying im fat just the pale and hairy bit) im really embaressed to go the the beach with boys and girls because im very self-counsious about my body and what people think. My mum says if i wear sunscreen i wont get burnt but i will tan is this true? also i have pale legs and darg leg hair which leaves really gross stubble how can you get rid of this?

    any other important summer tips?

fashion in australia for teens maybe?

best answer 10 pointsIs this true about tanning other beauty tips?
use nair, and lotion ur legs daily. that should make the hair not as hard and stubbly after u shave.

u wont tan if u use sunscreen. the only way to tan is to lotion with tanning oil, and gradually spend more and more t ime in the sun. like 15-20 for a week everyday (or less if that makes u burn) and then the next week do 20-25 mins, etc.Is this true about tanning other beauty tips?
you may get a slight tan with sunscreen but it wont be that great. why dont you try some fake tan? and the best way to avoid the stubble look is to have your legs waxed (its not that painful!) because with waxing its ripping out the whole hair and having to grow a new one. if waxing doesnt appeal to you then after shaving exfoliate with some gloves or a really good exfoliater with quite big grains in it. another tip is maybe go for a bikini wax. hope this helps
Wax, don't shave. I think dark hair and pale skin is a really nice combo, honestly. You don't have to look like all the other blonde bimbos with a fake tan (no offence to normal blonde people). Yes, sunscreen will make you tan but not burn, make sure you apply plenty with SPF 30+ before hitting the beach. Have a fun time in summer, just wax like I said and sunscreen, and you should be fine!!
    very true what luffland said

Beauty care is one of the problems that most women (and men) of all ages face. Beauty, or the lack of it, is pretty much a state of mind. . .well almost. There are beauty tips for Hair Styles, Nails, Skin Care, Body and Shape, Weight Loss, Exercise, Fashion and Style, Inner Beauty and more.

Let's talk about inner beauty care. True beauty begins from the inside out. Outer beauty will only appear when you’ve practiced beauty within.

Knowing how and what to eat, can make a huge difference in how you feel. Improper eating habits can cause depression, overweight, illness and an overall lethargy.

Change your eating and exercising habits. You can do this. Do not try to change everything at once, unless you are just one of those rare individuals that can do that.

Beauty care starts with our diet. Diet does not mean just losing weight. Diet means the food you put in your daily eating habits.

    1) A rule of thumb for eating habits are...don't eat more calories than you consume. Don't go one single day without doing something extra and physical for at least 30 minutes per day. This can be three ten minute walks. Or 30 minutes of vigorous aerobics, or 12 minutes of weight lifting and 18 minutes of walking.

    2) Water, you need water. Try to add at least 4 more glasses of water to your daily diet. The rule of thumb for water is 8 glasses per day; and one extra for every ten pounds overweight you are.

    3) Fats, you need to know about fats. There are different kinds of fats. Some fats are better for you than others. A rule of thumb on fats is, stay away from hydrogenated fats. These are fats that solidify. They are in store bought cakes, cookies, crackers, chips and even in bran muffins. Read the labels.

Choose fats that are polyunsaturated or fats such as olive oil. And, eat some fish to get some omega-3 fats. Carbohydrates - Are your immediate fuel source. An average is about 55 percent of your diet in carbohydrates. So, a rule of thumb is, figure your protein grams, get around 25% fat per day, and the rest would be in carbohydrates.

The heavier you are, the more protein you need the less carbohydrates you will need.

Fats - try not to exceed more than 25 percent fat in your daily diet. 30 is fine, too. That does not mean you can't have a junk food fast food hamburger... it just means that if you do eat that 55 percent fat burger that you are going to have to cut down on other fat filled foods for the rest of the day to balance it out.

    4) Fiber - work up to getting 25 grams of Fiber per day

    5) Protein - averages about 20 percent. Divide weight by 2.2 and multiply that by .8 to get the kilograms. For men it is averages as one gram per each kilogram of weight. So, a man would divide their weight in pounds 2.2 then multiply that by .10

    6) Make exchanges gradually. Suppose you drink whole milk...work down to 2 percent. Maybe replacing two of your cups per day until you can completely change over. If you are on two percent milk, work down to 1 percent.

    7) Add bran to your cereals for extra fiber. Do add it in your baking. You need to balance your diet with vegetables and fruits, too. Try adding different colors to your plate. Maybe an orange yam, and some green beans, to add color. The more variety of food colors, bring more variety of vitamins. Eat more raw foods.

Remember, exchange things, add things, and do it gradually and remember, live all things in life in moderation and soon you will be bouncy and vibrant and well on your way to living BEAUTIFULLY!

For most women, part of the Literary morn and dusk routines involve a skincare regimen of applying creams, moisturizers, tonics, lotions, and the like. Why do women put themselves prep this? They do it especially to conflict the signs of aging, and to maintain youthful advent and beautiful film! It is a safe bet, nevertheless, that most women haven't put greatly thought below what is in the distribute that they are using.

Some women probably do not fulfil that what they are putting on their derma may actually be vitiation what they are irksome to prevent to begin by. In actuality the mean woman puts twelve commodities on her incrustation daily, most of which contain unhealthy chemical preservatives.

Dr. Myron Wentz, architect and head of USANA Health Sciences, has this to say about beauty in the company magazine's June/July 2005 issue: ';Some say that beauty is only integument profound. Bombast! I suppose that actual beauty is a image of realistic trim, and true fettle begins wide lining each and every cubicle in the carcass.

    But true health and true beauty own an outer component, which is why we call protection from environmental insults such as solar diffusion, pollutants in our milieu and the drying effects of air. . . The reality is you simply cannot contain a healthy carcass if your pelt isn't healthy. And your skin can't be healthy if your are subjecting it to baleful substances that are at last engrossed prep your Slang stiff.';

So, what can women do? How can they combat environmental pollutants, the affect of solar radiation, and the drying effects of air? How can they be sure they are using the exceedingly superb deal in on their skin so they can be healthy inside and out? Here are 7 tips to second in this process:

    1. Be exceedingly aware of what is in skincare staples. Use market that are all customary as much as thinkable.

    2. Usually for retail that contain Dermal Surface Restoration Technology. DSR smoothes gone missing factual signs of aging such as snicker lines, crows feet, and tedium.

    3. Use market that have regenisomes. Regenisomes drill the skin to velocity cubicle renewal after sun revelation. They holdings use the light of photosomes to undo sun damage, and have ultrasomes to renew skin prep sleeping.

    4. Reveal products with Proteo-C and Proflavonol-T. These two vitamins defend the skin from immature aging caused by the sun, pollution, and substitute environmental factors. They effects contribute advanced nutrition to the skin to keep it appearing smooth and firm.

    5. If possible, use products that are paraben unconfined. Parabens are man-made chemical preservatives that are widely worn in live dolour products such as shampoos, conditioners, mane styling products, make-up, puss masks, skin lotions and creams, and deodorants. They valuables are typically fundamentals in baby lotions, shampoos, and variant personal care products for infants and offspring.

In addition, parabens are in uncountable foods and pharmaceutical products. Researchers are dawn to find parabens in benign and malignant human bosom tumors. While manifold studies have challenged their malignity in many products and question their long appellation affect on humans, using products that are paraben free can reject the risk of exposure to this destructive chemical.

    6. Lap plenty of sea water! Sea water hydrates skin and hair as agreeably as flushes toxins out of the body.

    7. Limit emphasis or understand to manage it effectively. Stress is harmful both emotionally and hysically. Find that stress reliever activity that mill best and use it on a daily basis!

Follow the on high 7 tips to true beauty and health.

Ever since Eve took that first bite of the apple, the human race has been obessed with beauty.

The truth is we begin the aging process just as soon as we pop out of the womb. Every day of our lives our bodies slough off and regenerate new cells. The speed at which that process takes place when we are children is vastly different as we get older.

Every day you are bombarded daily with commercial messages and beauty tips that attempt to lure you into believing that the most recent miracle drug is just what you need to fight off the ravages of Mother Nature.

We are living longer as a whole. Singularly, that can be a curse or a blessing, depending on your perspective. The best route to natural beauty and healthy skin is to take care of what you have. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? The truth is that your skin takes a beating from the environment every single day. Here are some of our favorite beauty tips for keeping your skin fresh and healthy:

1: Stay hydrated and do it with plenty of water! That does not mean soda, caffeine or any other type of liquid, even if it is low cal. Soda (even diet soda) has a high concentration of sodium. Sodium retains fluids. You need fluid that will hydrate and flush your body free of toxins. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses a day!

2: Protect your skin from harmful ultra violet (UV) rays. We all love the sun. We love being in it and we love having a beautiful tan. The truth is you can poison yourself with too much sunshine. UV rays cause skin cancer and if that isn’t bad enough it causes your skin to age faster than it should, contributing to unsightly wrinkles. If you must play in the sun, make certain you are using an adequate sun screen. Don’t leave home without it!

3: Keep your skin clean. Use a soft warm cloth. Skin does not require scrubbing. You will do more harm than good if you do.

4: The best cure for wrinkles is to never have them in the first place! If you are like most of us, you didn’t listen to your Mom when she tried to tell you to stay in the shade, stand up straight and stop squinting!

5: Eat healthy. Knowing how and what to eat, can make a huge difference in how you feel. Improper eating habits can cause depression, weight gain, illness and an overall lethargy.

Weight gain causes your skin to stretch. As you get older, it loses it's elasticity and you're left with sagging skin. The best solution to this is to maintain a proper weight.

A rule of thumb for eating habits are...don't eat more calories than you consume. Don't go one single day without doing something extra and physical for at least 30 minutes per day. This can be three ten minute walks. Or 30 minutes of vigorous aerobics, or 12 minutes of weight lifting and 18 minutes of walking.

6: Don't worry, be happy. A happy outlook appears to trigger the release of endorphins. Endorphins relax the cardiovascular system and cytokines which alert the immune system to pay attention in detecting abnormalities like cancer cells. Listen carefully to yourself. If you have put yourself down since childhood, over a lifetime, negative subliminal messages can take their toll by turning you into a pessimist. Spend one week writing down the phrases you use in your “self talk.” Chances are you will find that you repeat a dozen or so phrases over and over again that reinforce that negative image. If you know about them, you can change them. Outer beauty and inner joy go hand in hand.

Here are a few quick tips for increasing joy, hope and optimism that will work no matter what your age:

Make a list of at least 50 great things that happen to you every day.

Laugh a lot. You’ll heal your body and your mind.

Discover a new challenge each month.

Try meditating for just five minutes each day.

7: Sex After 50 – Ha! How many of you jumped ahead to this section?

The importance of physical intimacy actually depends on the couple. An alarming number of men used to give up on sex after 60 and many women used to feel that their sex life ended with menopause. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

Sex at middle age can actually become better and more satisfying than ever before. Maturity gives a couple more experience in lovemaking. The children are usually grown and left home. The pressures of building a career and day to day life are usually less stressful than in younger years.

    Is beauty really skin deep?

The answer is yes and no. It’s a paradox, isn’t it? True beauty begins from the inside out. Don’t you wish there was some way to “wriggle your nose” and regain that soft skin you had as a child? Well, until someone comes up with the true “Fountain of Youth” we are stuck with what we have.

Just remember that getting older doesn't have to mean getting old.

There are some effective tips to keep your body in a good mood both in terms of health and beauty. The following techniques are some examples of doing so easily.

Ultraviolet rays emitted from the sun may harm the body by increasing the risk of skin cancer if one gets excessive amount of sunshine in a little time.Despite its benefits, some type of sun rays have been proved to be harmful for skin.It may even trigger early aging, which is one of the most frequent ailments people suffer from today.

Another substantial aspect of this issue to get protected from harmful sun rays at utmost extent.Sometimes, driving a car cannot prevent UV rays from drafting into the body.In order to avoid such risks, sun screens must be used.Degree of harm of UV rays may change according to the daytime or altitude.High places usually are at higher risk of making one prone to the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. For this reason, careful observation is needed when sun screens are to be purchased.Quality brands whose products protect the body from the different types of harmful rays should be preferred.

Daily water consumption is another factor in keeping the skin healthy and fresh. However, this should not be confused with consuming large amounts of liquid incorporating water in them.Harmful materials used in the production of such liquids affect the body health directly and usually dramatically.People who want to keep healthy and beautiful should take this into account.

Accessories are one of the most striking parts helping one to gain some popularity regarding his/her look. For instance, the type of eyeglasses is vital since its frames should not cover the entire eyes, but they should complement the facial look.Sometimes, switching to contact lenses can be considered as a good idea because they are more practical to use.Different colours may help one to get a new and more attractive look.

Still another technique to employ is not to wear high heeled shoes for long hours in a day.Various illnesses have been found to be caused by this type of mistake. One should try her best to choose looking sexy and living healthier. In fact, there is a reasonable solution to this intriguing problem such that both of these concerns are satisfied. One may try wearing wide and healthier shoes while working and she could switch to high heels when she is attending an important occasion. So as to avoid health problems, one must alter her interests and instant desires a little.

Woman's hair has a great importance in that it gives woman a different look when cut differently. In order to be consistent with this issue, hair stylists must be static; i.e, one should not switch too many hairdresser's in a few months.Having the hair cut by a well known person may be very good for the future life of the person.

In conclusion, beauty is likely to be the most important feature for the woman on the world today, and its importance means much more than it did in the past. Therefore, women should perform extra effort to keep their skin healthy and look fresh so as not to attract the males in whose dreams they live.

Hair Care Professional- Breaking One In

Beauty Salon- It is so important for us to find the right beauty salon so that we can have the right look at the right time. However, there are certain things that beauty salon owners don't want you to know.

According to the September 13, 2005 issue of the LA Times, soon after Hurricane Katrina passed through the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama beauty salons with power and water reopened. Women who had lost EVERYTHING flocked to those open beauty salons. They wanted to look good even though they did not have a place to live. They wanted and needed professional hair care.

This fact alone confirms your intuition about the absolute necessity of finding the right beauty salon. This holds true for a beauty salon Los Angeles or a beauty salon Long Beach, Mississippi.

Let me give you some general guidelines and tips to use when you are looking for a new beauty salon. I will also include some helpful suggestions about how to deal with your hair stylist.

    1. How far is the beauty salon from your home or work? Is it convenient to either or both?

    2. Telephone the salon. Ask if their hair care stylists have experience with your type of hair. For example, is your hair long, curly, textured or exposed to frequent changes to hair color, heat and the elements?

    3. Search the Internet for reviews of beauty salons in your work or home zip codes.

    4. It seems obvious, but it's crucial: Who do you know whose hair looks fabulous? Ask them where (and to whom) they go.

    5. When you get to the beauty salon what does the atmosphere FEEL like to you? Is it peaceful or stressful? Which do you prefer?

    6. Are you greeted right away or are you forced to wander around or “twiddle your thumbs” until someone attends to you?

    7. If you've made an appointment is it kept?

    8. Is the beauty salon clean and well organized? Does everything seem to be in its place?

    9. How is the staff dressed? Are they dressed appropriately to your taste?

    10. What does the hair of the staff look like to you? Is the hair of the staff professionally done or is it sloppy?

Ok, you've decided that the beauty salon environment is satisfactory, now how do you deal with the hair stylist?

    11. Collect and bring pictures that are appropriate for your type of hair. The biggest beauty salon hair disasters occur when your hair stylist doesn't understand what you want. Pictures help convey your message.

    12. Don't immediately go for a cut, take it slower. Book a blow-dry with your selected stylist. Ask, if you were to cut my hair, how would you do it? Once you've set aside the time for a real consultation, here are some key questions to ask yourself as you talk to your stylist:

    • DO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE with the hair care stylist? You should like his or her sense of style. This means clothing, grooming, personality, everything.

    • IS THE STYLIST ASKING YOU questions, giving ideas and suggestions that relate to your personality, rather than pointing to a style on the wall or in a book?

    • IS THE HAIR CARE STYLIST ADDRESSING the health of your hair, not just proposing to cut off split ends? The two of you should be talking about conditioners and rinses that enhance shine and bounce, and special treatments that can prevent or repair damage done by the environment, such as pollution, sun, chlorine, humidity, or dry air.

    • ONCE YOU'VE AGREED ON A LOOK, does the stylist preview how you'll need to blow it dry, wash it, and maintain it? These are all things to think about before actually getting the cut.

If you can answer most of the questions to your satisfaction, then you've probably found a beauty salon and a hair stylist that will make you look fabulous. If you cannot, then move on to the next beauty salon on your list.
All Dove products are lovely. Very good on the skin, and the shampoos and conditioners are great for your hair.Try them.
    3 Step process:

    1) Stop being ugly.

    2) Wear makeup.

    3) Look hot.
Tanning tips... Take copper supplements. And don't shower for atleast 4 hours after you go in the tanning bed.
The best tip I can give you, is what worked for me:

I had the most beautiful skin until the age of 20, then the acne started. Like most young people, I never really thought about ageing. I tried everything: off the shelf products, Departments store ';advice';, and doctors remedies.

Then a friend invited me for a skin care consultation, which included a hands-on test of the Artistry product range. She told me everything about every product, and how my skin works, and how it reacts to skin care products.

later, I was invited to a S.A.M. consultation. Your skin is analysed under ultraviolet light, which shows you the inside layers of your skin, and the underlying skin type and skin conditions.

With this kind of information, you can make a truly informed decision. You can also see how you skin responds to the products you use, and you can even see exactly where to use which kind of mask, and where to scrub (or not).

Now, when the season changes, or when my skin doesn't quite feel right, I do a skin analysis, tweak my routine a little bit, and voila! My skin looks so much better.

These consultants can also give you advise on colour analysis and make-up techniques. It's the best way to spend your time and a few dollars if you really want to invest in your skin.

If your going to do ALL three services.. how about ';STYLING'; you know like being IT! or ';STRUTTING';. BOTH are catchy, sound like NY names and indicate taking care of the ';whole me';!

Can a self-tanning lotion be used along w/my daily beauty regimen?

I use a daily regimen, which includes face wash, toner, sometimes a ';treatment (mask, exfoliater, etc...) then a moisturizer. I use an AM moisturizer %26amp; a PM moisturizer. Now that summer is coming up, I would like to start using a self-tanning lotion. But can I use that %26amp; still use my daily regimen? If so, how would I do it? Put the tanning lotion on first, then my daily mositurizer? I dont want to quit using my moisturizer, I'm just not sure if a self-tanning lotion will work, if I'm using another lotion on top of it. Thanks! Can a self-tanning lotion be used along w/my daily beauty regimen?
my friend uses the self-tanner 1st, before she applies moisturizer... but take care, because i think many of the self-tanners already include a moisturizer, %26amp; u may become more prone to clogged pores, breakouts, etc. if u use a lot of one or the other or both...Can a self-tanning lotion be used along w/my daily beauty regimen?
Yes you can use it and it will work. I put the lotion on first, then the moisturizer
Get the Breathe collection gradual tanning lotion from Bath and Body Works. It's really good and it works. It's meant for your body, but you can use it for your face too. You can use it in place of a moisturizer because it's moisturizing.
You need to put the self-tanner on before any other creams or moisturizers, and give it time to ';soak'; into your skin before you add something else. If you add the self-tanner AFTER the other products it absorbs at an uneven rate, and could result in blotchiness or streaking.
Victorias Secret has a gradual tanning lotion. it smells good, works good, and looks good.
